Friday was our low key day, and we rested up for the weekend's activities. Saturday, our friends arrived to celebrate the 4th of July. We wakesurfed for a little while and then headed to the Sand Bar. It is the Redneck Yacht Club of Lake Blackshear where you will see lots of interesting people!
We spent all day on the lake and later that night, we got a wild hair to go to Cypress Grill. Most of us had been on the lake all day and had not showered, but we went anyway! They had a band, and we all enjoyed dancing and singing! On the way home, I looked at Davis's watch and it was 1:00 a.m.! We were all having such a good time, that we didn't realize what time it was!
Sunday Fun Day arrived with more eating and drinking! We all made a visit to the Blue Hole (another redneck favorite!), and some took turns on the rope swing. We made our own Sand Bar at our house, and got ready for the fireworks. Davis's parents came up and helped cook for the crowd!
Sunday night, we went to see the fireworks. Every year, a family from Albany shoots fireworks from their yard. They are just as good as any fireworks show I've seen. Our neighbor said he timed the show, and it lasted 50 minutes! Can't imagine how much they spent to entertain half of Lake Blackshear!
This weekend was a blast, but now it's time for a diet!
jill looks so fun! I cant believe yall partied at the blue hole. hahah
