Sconces-The Final Chapter

Remember my post awhile back about wanting to change my bathroom sconces? I know you thought I had decided not to do anything! Well, let me tell you, that finding the perfect sconces and mirrors has not been an easy task.

I was so excited when I finally picked out the "perfect" sconce. I actually ordered it the day after I posted about the choices. I think I ordered the sconces from about 15 different stores, but they were backordered everywhere. I got so excited several times because I got emails from several online stores saying the sconces had shipped, but it was a false alarm. Finally, I found some that I liked from Arcadian Lighting that looked almost identical to the ones I originally wanted. They were a little more expensive than the first ones I picked out, but they were delivered within a couple of days, so they were absolutely worth it! (Seriously, the box was at my house before I even received the shipment notification email!)

I also order a mirror from Z Gallerie when I ordered the first sconces. The mirror came, and I was so excited when I opened the box because I think the mirror is gorgeous (pictures below don't do it justice). I was ready to hang it, and Davis pointed out that it had a big crack on the side. I was so sad!! But, Z Gallerie was great about having it picked up, and a new one arrived a week or so later. I know you are probably wondering why I ordered only 1 - I wanted to make sure it was the right choice before ordering the other one! I didn't want to have to pay return shipping on two items if I didn't like it!

Just wanted to remind you of the BEFORE:

AFTER (Please excuse the pictures and the mess, but I really wanted to update you. My camera hasn't been really friendly lately):

I am so happy with the final product! Now, I just need to work on the blank wall on the other side of the room!

P.S.- Just had to brag on myself just a bit. I took down the old sconces right by myself and hung the one on the left. The others had to have some things moved around. Also, I placed all the marks for the mirrors in the right spots. Davis had to help hang them because the nails kept slipping for me, and the mirror was too heavy for me to lift that high.
