A Quick Little Trip

Davis and I decided about 2 weeks ago that we wanted to go skiing for a long weekend. We really got a deal and tried to keep the trip on a budget!

We flew out of Albany early and arrived in Denver by lunchtime. We rented a car and drove to Keystone! The weather was absolutely beautiful when we got there-sunny but not too cold.

Once we got checked into our room at the Keystone Lodge and Spa (no, we didn't have time to visit the spa, unfortunately), we quickly got dressed, fitted for our boots and skis, and we were on the slopes for a few quick runs.

Since we had to get up so early, we grabbed a quick bite to eat at Spoon and hit the hay. I think Davis and I were both asleep by about 7:30 Colorado time.

Friday morning, we were up early and skied all day! I went in a little earlier than Davis to rest my feet-they were killing me!

That night, we went to eat at a restaurant that someone on the slopes told us about-Snake River Saloon. It was good to get dressed in something besides ski clothes, but we crashed as soon as we got back to the hotel room!

On Saturday, we were on the slopes as soon as we could get there! We had to make the most of our day since it was our last. It was so crowded because many of the people that live in Denver go skiing every weekend!

Saturday night, we were exhausted (once again) and had to get up early, so we decided just to eat in the hotel restaurant, Bighorn Steakhouse. Hollie, I thought of you and ordered the goat cheese appetizer that was amazing!

We left Keystone about 4 a.m., and we were sad to go. It was a great trip!
