Yesterday, a few of us girls hosted a bridal shower for our friend Becca, who is getting next month. I thought I would share some projects that I worked on for the party.
I was in charge of wrapping silverware. I thought I would add a little something to each grouping-a small white pom-pom.
I found some precious fabric pom-poms on Etsy, but I refused to pay $30 for a strand of eight. So, I looked up a tutorial online and TA-DAH, I made my own! I made these three strings for a lot less than $30 with lots of supplies left over! My mom was shocked that these were hand sewn because she didn't even think I could sew on a button!
Ok, for my last and most time-consuming project-the pom-pom chandelier-, I found this picture on Amy Atlas's blog as my inspiration. When I saw this picture, I knew I had to try it!
Awhile back, I found some Martha Stewart pom pom kits at TJMaxx for $4.99. The packs had tons of tissue paper! There is no way I could have bought this much tissue paper for that price! I made the green ones on my own and added a few white lanterns that we had left over from Jenna and Allan's party.
So cute Jill!!
ReplyDeleteThe chandelier is incredible!! I even like your better. You have to try to keep it and use again for something else.
