A Toast to Sally and Ryan

Saturday night, we hosted a Champagne and Desserts party honoring Sally and Ryan at our house along with seven other couples.

I loved our invite:

I have seen lots of dessert blogs on many of the blogs that I follow, and I have been dying to do one! When I mentioned it to the other hosts, they liked the idea too! I was so excited to finally set on up!

On the dessert bar, we served brownies, gingerbread men,

iced cookies,

glitter ball cookies, peppermint bark, white chocolate covered pretzel sticks,

and cupcakes.

Several months ago, I won a giveaway for fondant cupcake toppers from Two Sugar Babies on Etsy. I was so excited when I got the email that I had won because I could not wait to use these precious things! We also covered the normal cupcake liner in green and red cupcake wrappers from Home Holiday Keepsakes, also on Etsy.

Instead of just plain old champagne, we served a champagne bar with your choice of peach nectar or orange juice mixer and your choice of fruit to mix in-peaches, strawberries, oranges, or raspberries. I think the most popular choice of the night was champagne with peach nectar and raspberries.

I think the hit of the night was the s'more bar. I got the original idea and recipes from here. I placed the menu in a frame next to the ingredients. They were quite messy but so worth it!
