Father's Day Weekend

Friday afternoon, Davis and I headed up to the lake. We have been dying to get Stella in the water! She was a little nervous but really did great! Then, we took her for a ride in the boat. I think she was more interested in sun-bathing than checking out the scenery.

Saturday, Davis and I met up with some friends and headed to the Blue Hole. I have not been there in years, and the crowd there did not disappoint. If you have never been, the Blue Hole is known for its rope swings and the people using them. As usual, there were some characters!

We headed back home last Saturday night so we could go to church Sunday. After church, we went over to my mom's house for a Father's Day and 98th Birthday Lunch for my Papa! Of course we had an tasty lunch-ham, green beans, hashbrown casserole, and lots more, but it was a real treat to celebrate with my Papa! I am so lucky to have him in my life!

After we rolled home from eating so much food, Davis asked if Stella and I wanted to play a little golf with him (or just ride in the cart). It has been so hot lately, but Sunday afternoon was really pleasant especially when we were moving in the cart! Later that night, we headed to my dad's to eat dinner with him for Father's Day. We ate some really great food that May's brother Billy cooked up for us on the grill-pork tenderloin, corn on the cob (picked and shucked by Gil's girlfriend Morgan), portobello mushrooms stuffed with crab meat, scallions, bacon, and cheese. We spent all day Sunday eating!

We look forward to celebrating Father's Day with Davis's dad at some point this week. He and Donna went to the beach this past weekend to fish before the oil hits Panama City. As of this weekend, they didn't have any oil to report! Hopefully it will stay that way!
